We designed Sightline to balance personalization with privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can manage it.

Information we collect

  • Profile details such as name, email, organization memberships, and role metadata synchronized from HR systems.
  • Usage analytics including page views, search queries, and engagement with posts or polls to improve relevance.
  • Support interactions captured through the helpdesk to resolve issues and provide trend analysis.

How we use data

  • Deliver personalized dashboards, recommended content, and targeted announcements to the correct audiences.
  • Maintain security controls, including auditing authentication events and monitoring anomalous activity.
  • Measure adoption to guide training, change management, and platform investment decisions.

Your controls

  • Manage profile visibility, notification preferences, and data export requests from the Privacy Center inside Sightline.
  • Submit privacy questions or deletion requests by emailing privacy@sightlineblogs.com.
  • All access to personal data is logged and reviewed regularly by the Data Governance committee.

Data retention

Support tickets

18 months

Retained for troubleshooting patterns, then redacted and archived.

Usage analytics

24 months

Aggregated and anonymized after 2 years for long-term trends.

Profile updates

Current

Stored while employment is active. Removed within 30 days of deprovisioning.
